2023 Joyce Krane Estuary Challenge

WELCOME TO THE

King Bay Game
Fishing Club

We are located in the Northwest of Western Australia in a diverse region bursting with game fish and small to mid sized billfish in large numbers.

With the 2020 game fishing season being interrupted with a couple month suspension due to Covid and then not running our major tournament of the year, scores were a little down on previous years. However, the club and its members still experienced some fantastic success.

We had 55 Fish weighed consisting of 15 different species. Of these five were potential IGFA world records, 16 potential GFAA national records and 12 state records.

Members also tagged 108 Billfish and 161 other Gamefish made up of  14 species.

At the annual GFAA awards night the King Bay Game Fishing Club was awarded Runner up in the Rob Lowe trophy for the most meritorious tag & release achievement by a GFAA affiliated club. Team the Wench was Runner up Highest Point Scoring boat tag & release.
